The mission of the Thornton Tomasetti Foundation is to:
Fund fellowships, scholarships and internships for undergraduate students, and those planning to pursue graduate studies in building engineering, design or technology;
Provide financial support for individuals and organizations pursuing philanthropic activities related to building engineering, design or technology.
Cooper Union - Two grants totaling $12,500 have been awarded to the Cooper Union Engineering Program to support the Reuse of Available Material, Energy, Structures and Supplies for Emergency Shelter (RAMESSES) project.
Lehigh University & USC School of Architecture - A $5,000 grant was awarded to Ivan Martynenko, a student enrolled in the Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering program at Lehigh University. The USC School of Architecture received a $5,000 grant from the Foundation for use toward doctoral research on building envelopes.
